Terms of Use
As mandated by the NYU Office of General Counsel, apart from approved web conferencing sessions (for example, Academic/T&L sessions, approved trainings/webinars), any other administrative web conferencing meetings SHOULD NOT be recorded. Only faculty members and approved administrators may record meetings. A host in Zoom who is both a faculty member and an administrator would have the option to record meetings. However, such a faculty user agrees to request approval for recording meetings as necessary. Any recording done through NYU’s instance of Zoom will remain accessible for a period of 12 months after the date of the recording. If you wish to retain your recorded content beyond 12 months, please download the recordings from Zoom within this time period. At this point, safeguarding the data of these recordings becomes your responsibility (it is recommended you upload these downloaded videos to an university service like NYU Stream).
